about

"Used to live at home, now I stay at the house."

Damned if that ain't the truth these days. All my friends and I are back home, trying to weather this storm with our folks. Restaurants and bars sit empty, even as they keep putting in 14 hours days keeping us fed and, frankly, from killing one other. So what becomes of the humble regular? I've always loved Paul Westerberg's musings on the subject from the Replacements' criminally underplayed "Tim" (1985), so I decided to crank out my own cheeky little take on his masterwork. Here's hoping you enjoy.

P.S. I don't know about you, but in these times of self-isolation -- when sitting inside all day doing jack squat is your civic duty -- another line rings especially true: "Well, a person can work up a mean, mean thirst/After a hard day of nothin' much at all."
